Welcome
Located in the central Rocky Mountains of Colorado, the historic Tybar Ranch consists of 600 +/- acres of scenic and highly productive irrigated land. Tybar is currently a highly successful working cattle Ranch. The Ranch includes the Tybar Ranch Subdivision, a Planned unit development consisting of 10 platted developable lots. Ranch improvements include a main home, employee housing, an equipment shop, three hay sheds, numerous corrals and two barns that include the 22,000 square foot Prince Creek barn with an indoor arena area measuring 18,000 square feet. Tybar has extensive water rights. Tybar Ranch is secluded, yet close to town and includes panoramic views of the surrounding mountain ranges and Mt. Sopris, features spectacular hunting, trails, and chances to see mustangs in the wild.
OUR FACILITY
I had decided it was time to move away from my ex-wifes ranch in Wyoming back down to Colorado where the mustang population was in danger what with all the new highways they were putting through with no consideration for the horses that owned this land. It took some time, finding the right plot of land to build our lovely new home. I drew out the blue prints, bought the materials, and hired the building grew...and off we set on building Tybar Ranch. It was a simple facility, two pastures (one being a dry lot for one of the stallions as he disliked when the grass would get damp but didn't mind mud), one round pen, an outdoor arena, spacious 6 stall barn, hot walker, and finally the house and pool.
The inside of the barn was mine, I refused to allow any of the hired help to touch the design of it or its stalls. Each was built and designed with top quality woods, had a grain bin, water bucket, and hay rack. Outside of the stalls was each horses personal blanket and halter and tack trunk with whatever supplements they required to go in their feed, and of course their own personal bag of carrots and wraps. Along the back wall was our tack wall and rules. Each horse has their own custom fit saddle in order to keep their joints and backs free of stress when competing. Their bridles were never hung but placed neatly in peices (As I like to clean all tack at the show grounds) in their tack trunks. The lightning was hand made, and above the barn isle is our hay loft containing the softest and purest picked hay and alfalfa.
